Halie's Happy Day

People that know the Garff Family know one simple thing... When Halie and I were little, we did NOT get along. We shared a room and we were merciless towards one another. We always had a reason to fight and didn’t know how to communicate with each other, other than yelling. It’s no secret and even she’ll admit we didn’t like each other. As we got older, we still fought but we could sit in a room together without getting in a knock down drag out fight. Then I got married. I honestly think it was because we weren’t around each other as much, but something crazy happened... We actually got along!

Whit has been teaching a family in our ward trying to reactivate them. In February, their little boy got baptized. Whit went to the baptism and his friend Tyler was the one doing the baptism. They talked for a little bit to catch up on life and Whit mentioned Halie... In March, we gave Tyler Halie’s number and we gave Halie Tyler’s number... The rest was history... They talked and were together all day everyday and in a few months they were engaged. Halie and I did a full 180! We became really close over those few months planning her day and being around each other.

On August 19th, Halie got married. I’d never seen her so happy before. The ceremony in the temple was amazing and I couldn’t hide the tears that ran down my cheeks. I was so happy for her! Her day was beautiful and she was beautiful! These past few weeks we have actually gotten along great. Whit and I have been over to her and Tyler’s house in Ephraim and she and I text each other all the time now. We have come leaps and bounds since those days of fighting in our little room we shared in Sandy. Love you Halie! Congratulations!

Here are a couple pictures of the wedding! I'll post more soon!
