We were sealed for time and eternity on February 20, 2009 in the Manti Temple. The morning of the wedding I was awake at 7 am. We had to be to the temple at 10 so I needed time to get ready. Whit came to pick me up and after a few pictures we were off to the temple. The ceremony was amazing. The whole experience is distilled in my mind forever. The thoughts and feelings I had come racing back every time I look at pictures of our special day. The temple ceremony was followed by pictures around the temple grounds. It was a very warm day for February. I only needed my cloak when we were in the shade. We lost track of time at the temple and ended up being 30 minutes late to the lunch. Everyone teased and asked if we had made a quick “stop” on our way there.

For lunch we had a Filipino dish called Adobo Chicken. It is my favorite dish from the Philippines! It’s a mixture of soy sauce, garlic, brown sugar, potatoes, chicken, and onions. (There’s more than that in it but I don’t remember it all) You put the mixture over rice and eat it with bread. It is amazing! There was also some salads and for desert we had one of my favorite things in the entire world... Cheesecake!
Our wedding colors were black, white, orange, and red and my flowers were Gerber Daisies. Nancy Foster made my cake and it turned out gorgeous! It was white with black polka dots and it had Gerber Daisies draped down it. My parents made a wedding video for us that played in the corner. Our desert was a Cookie Brownie Ice Cream Sunday that was delicious. Whit’s mom Wendy made our wedding book and I absolutely loved it... Whit’s “best man” was Ian and my “Maid of Honor” was my mom. For my tables I had black table cloths and for centerpieces I had flat mirrors and laid them in the center of the table. On the mirrors I put candles and Gerber Daisies. I had a black back drop that the wedding line stood in front of that was awesome. My brother in law’s parents let us borrow it. I had white tool and daisies draped on it. I had the cutest little flower girls with giant orange daisies in their hair... Gracie, Myla, Chloe, Erica, and Kaylee.

After lunch we all went over to Julie’s house to get ready for the reception. Whit kept trying to get me to go downstairs with him... I wasn’t born yesterday... I knew what he wanted to do and there was NO WAY I was doing it for the first time in his bedroom with his family just outside the door. So I stayed upstairs and helped the little girls get ready. The reception started at 6pm and was held in Mayfield City Hall. One thing that I made sure I didn’t do was have my reception in a church. I hate the tacky look of the basketball back boards. Mayfield City Hall was perfect. People started showing up right at 6 and we had a long line for the next 2 hours. I knew most of the people that came through the line and it was fun to visit for a few seconds with each of them. Whit hated standing in the line. He was like a little kid waiting to go on a ride at Disneyland. He kept asking me if it was time to go yet... (Horny Bugger)

Before we knew it, it was time to cut the cake. We decided to feed each other at the same time. For those of you who know us, it won’t surprise you to hear we got in a cake fight. He smashed it in my face as I was trying to smash it in his. I grabbed a handful and threw it at him. And he wiped a chunk of frosting on my arm. Our cake fight ended with a kiss... After crawling up my dress and taking it off with his teeth, Whit shot my garter and my cousin Hazen caught it. I threw my bouquet and my little sister Halie caught it. The reception ended with saying goodbye to our family because we were off on our honeymoon! Vegas Baby! But first we spent the night together at The Yardley Inn in Manti... It was a perfect end to the night. (Around 1am Whit’s tummy growled so we ended up going to the Maverik in Ephraim to get some food!haha)

The next day we were off to Vegas! We stayed in the Excalibur Hotel... We saw a show, played at Circus Circus, and walked the strip. I recommend Vegas to anyone that isn’t sure where to go for their honeymoon. It’s a very laid back and relaxing vacation. You’re able to be in the room when you want to be in room and there’s always something to do when you’re ready to leave the room. It was the perfect way for us to start our married life together...
