Happy Happy Day! Well in reality, its been a Happy Happy Week! Whit is HOME! A couple weeks ago he applied for a job in Richfield and had an interview right when he applied. We got a phone call last Monday with the good news he got the job! His boss was really sad to see him go, but was really good and asked he only stay a couple days. He moved home Wednesday night and had training on Friday. He has been hired on at Classic Motors as their one and only car salesman. I've been walking on sunshine since he called me and told me he got the job, but I think it's been a bitter sweet situation for Whit. Working at Classic, he's obviously not making teeth anymore, but he's happy to be home and making decent money. I'm grateful the car economy isn't as bad as most people think! He started his first day of work on Saturday. I was pretty excited when he sold his 1st car on his 1st day of work! :) Such a proud wife I am!
Life has only gotten better from there. On Saturday we got the news that UPS was hiring a part time package handler. Whit sent in an application and immediately got an interview. He had his interview yesterday at lunch and within a half hour they called and offered him the job! We feel so blessed right now. UPS benefits are amazing! Whit couldn't turn it down... I think life is going to get a little crazy again with him working 2 jobs, but his hours are going to be similar to the hours he was working out in Monroe so I know we can do it. Once Whit starts driving at UPS, working 2 jobs will be worth it. He's grateful he has a good job at Classic while we works his way up the totem pole. I'm just grateful I get to sleep next to him every night again! :)
More good news! I am now a Pampered Chef Consultant! Yay! Business has been booming for me the past couple weeks! I've done a lot of Catalog Parties and on Friday I'm doing my 1st Cooking Show! I'm a little nervous but excited at the same time. I love to cook and I LOVE The Pampered Chef products. It won't be hard for me to brag them up... Jeanessa Curtis is a sweetheart and is the Host for the cooking show! Thanks girly! I'm hoping I get a few more parties set up before Christmas!
On a sad note, Whit's Grandpa Delmar passed away 2 weeks ago. It was a good funeral, full of happy memories of Grandpa, but sad we're not with him right now nonetheless. Whit got emotional a couple of times, but held it together pretty good. I'm so grateful I have the gospel in my life. It makes things like death so much easier. Not that losing someone is ever easy, just easier to cope with. I'd hate going through my life thinking I'll never see my loved ones again. I think even if I wasn't a member of the church, I'd still believe in life after death. It's impossible for me to think that we just drift off into non-existence when we die. Anyways, Grandpa lived a long and good life... 90 years is a long time to be alive.
I didn't have much news to report, but what I have reported I think qualifies as BIG news. Life is wonderful and Whit and I are very happy with how things are turning out. I'm grateful for the trials and challenges we had this past year... They have made both Whit and I better and stronger people. We've also learned to rely on each other completely, which has made our marriage all the better. So if anyone is in need of a car or is interested in Hosting a Pampered Chef Party, you know who to call! xoxo
